Description:   

The project involved redesigning the existing layout to provide acceptable living accommodation for the proposed eight residents. The overall design had to change in the first instance due to budgetary constraints that needed to be managed.

The property had stood vacant for several years before works began. Therefore existing services needed to be tested prior to commencement, to ascertain if systems were still capable of serving the building.

Works included re configuration of the ground floor layout to provide several bedrooms and a larger kitchen/dining area, upgrading of existing heating system along with full refurbishment of the internal and external elements of the property.

Role:   

Project Management with Design involvement and CDM Co-ordination duties. Specific duties include planning and building control matters, overall cost control, client liaisons, procurement advice and contract administration.

Procurement Route / Contract type:

JCT 2005 – Minor works building contract.


Consultants:    David French Partnership – Structural Engineers.
