Planning & Development - Strategic Planning
The identification of land for development is a fundamental part of the planning process. Delivering housing and employment opportunities to meet the demands of a growing population remains high on the Government’s list of priorities.

In the recent years, legislative changes designed to streamline the planning process and to reduce the amount of time taken between the identification of land for development and delivery, have highlighted the need to engage with planning authorities and development agencies at a very early stage in the strategic planning process. Properly considered and professionally presented responses to each stage of the consultation process during the preparation of the Local Development Framework, is key to securing allocations for development. The level of detail required in support of consultation responses continues to increase and requires input from a suitably qualified team of planning and development consultants, with local knowledge and experience.

The planning and development team at Kirkby and Diamond has the necessary experience and expertise - with much of its management team having previously held senior appointments within the planning departments of various local authorities and the Milton Keynes Development Corporation.

The team at Kirkby and Diamond works closely with private and corporate land owning clients and interfaces as lead consultants in securing allocations for housing development and urban extensions throughout the region. If you have land that you believe has potential for development, please call a member of the planning and development team at Kirkby and Diamond for a confidential and informal discussion.
