Consultant, Previously Partner, Building Surveying

Richard Staff merged his practice with Kirkby & Diamond in 1998 to head up the Building Surveying Division of the firm. He has over 30 years’ specialist experience relating to the construction, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and improvement of smaller residential, commercial  and industrial buildings.

His career experience ranges from estimating, surveying and management for small building and property companies to many years in private practice rising to senior partner.

As well as broad industry knowledge, Richard has specialist knowledge of the licensed trade and, in the retail market, received the award for the Project Management “Shop Refit of the Year’ in 2001, for the Alberta Ferretti shop in Sloane Street.

Due to his level of specialist knowledge Richard is regularly called upon as an expert witness in both civil and criminal cases. His knowledge has been used to help solve disputes in all matters of Building Surveying, from the criminal prosecution of Cowboy Builders to Party Wall Disputes & professional negligence cases.
