Senior Surveyor – Rural Land and Compulsory Purchase
Neil joined Kirkby and Diamond in July 2008 as a Senior Surveyor. He is involved in all aspects of advice in relation to Rural Property. He also specialises in Compulsory Purchase issues and Telecoms.
Neil’s experience in rural property advice comes from his previous roles with large national companies. He has extensive experience in the management of country estates and sporting interests. He is also regularly called upon to advise on smaller land-holdings. Whilst a large proportion of his time is spent dealing with rural property management he also advises planning and diversification proposals, valuations (for a range of purposes), sporting interests, and sales of land.
Neil also specialises in Compulsory Purchase issues and telecoms. These areas involve providing advice to clients Nationwide affected either directly or indirectly by compulsory purchase schemes. This can include blight claims, Part 1 compensation claims (under the Land Compensation Act 1973), road schemes and utility, undertake schemes and payments (gas, electricity and water). Neil also advises on all aspects relating to telecommunications apparatus – rent reviews, assignment and lease renewal negotiations.
