Head of Building Surveying Consultancy Department

Due to retirement we are seeking a highly motivated, commercially aware, enthusiastic and experienced Building Surveyor to head up and develop our established Building Surveying Department.

Working as part of a team of surveyors and planners the successful candidate will be a strong and effective leader in their own right and will expect to have a high level of autonomy. Reporting directly to the Partners, this senior role will suit ambitious individuals with a proven track record in private practice.  Being confident and articulate communicators, candidates will be required to demonstrate their commercial acumen in developing new business and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.

The role is based at our Luton Office.  We are looking for a professionally qualified surveyor (RICS) possessing the traditional core skills in the following areas:-

 Dilapidations
 Commercial and Residential Building Surveys
 Condition Surveys
 Party Wall Matters
 Building Pathology
 Building Design
 Contract Administration
 Asbestos Surveys
 Maintenance Management
 Expert Witness

Additional responsibilities will include regular reporting to the Partners and coordinating marketing and networking initiatives with other senior members of staff. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in staff training and professional development.
