The party wall matter involved a building owner wishing to excavate the existing basement of their property, to add an additional two basement levels to the existing one basement level.

The adjoining owners appointed a Party Wall Surveyor from Kirkby & Diamond to act on their behalf.

We liaised with the Party Wall Surveyor acting on behalf of the building owners, and undertook a joint inspection of our adjoining owner’s property and agreed a Schedule of Condition.

Following agreement of the schedule of condition, we liaised with the building owners Party Wall Surveyor to agree a party wall award, which would protect our appointing owner’s interests and property whilst allowing the major works to be undertaken.

Due to the complicated issues with the construction works, the award took sometime to agree and involved extended discussions with all parties involved.


Appointed as Adjoining Owners Party Wall Survey to liaise with Building Owners Party Wall Surveyor on all matters with regard to agreeing a Party Wall Award.
