CHESHUNT SCHOOL REFURBISHMENT OF REDUNDANT MACHINE WORKSHOP TO NEW DRAMA STUDIO & IT SUITE

Description:   

The project involved taking an old wood and metal machine workshop, which had been decommissioned and was not being utilised by the school, and refurbishing the building as a whole to provide a new teaching facility.

Works included internal and external insulating of the building, replacement of the dated electrical installation and upgrading of lighting, heating and introduction of IT services.

The internal layout of the building had minor reconfiguration to provide a soundproofed drama studio with sprung dance floor and mirrored wall, and a small IT suite to be used for the editing of media productions.

Role:   

Project Management and CDM Co-ordination. Specific duties include overall cost control, client liaisons, procurement advice and contract administration.
