Graduate / Junior Commercial Property Agent

Overview:

• To act as Graduate Surveyor or Junior Commercial Agent within our Milton Keynes, Luton or St Albans office.
• To promote the business of Kirkby Diamond Chartered Surveyors to a wide spectrum of the public, whilst undertaking agency work.
• To actively market and publicise properties that Kirkby Diamond is instructed to market.
• To promote cross-selling opportunities with other departments within the firm.

Main responsibilities:

• To represent the firm as a graduate or junior Commercial Property Agent and always promote its best interests.
• To take instructions and guidance from the Head of Agency as appropriate.
• To assist with the development and maintenance of a strong client base, specifically in Commercial Agency matters, but also generally.
• To comply with the RICS Membership Regulations (if qualified) in so far as they may apply to you in your capacity as Commercial Property Agent, working within a practice of chartered surveyors.
• To carry out inspections of properties for marketing purposes.
• To assist in creating marketing reports for clients in the required format and within agreed timescales.
• To carry out viewings in a professional manner.
• To update landlords/vendors and all clients in writing or by email (following direction of line manager), in a timely fashion.
• To assist in negotiating the best deal for the client.
• To liaise with all parties when terms are agreed to ensure the transaction progresses satisfactorily.
• To understand and work with web-based IT systems, either in the office or from home and to keep up to date with necessary technological innovations as required.
• To adopt a “can do” attitude at all times.
• To be flexible, adaptable and customer focused.
• To meet the requirements of our Quality Assurance system.
• To ensure that our database of comparable evidence & property requirements is kept up to date with appropriate diarising.
• To assist in undertaking other professional work from time to time for which you have suitable experience, if required. For a graduate there will be rotation through the various departments as required by the RICS.
• At all times to comply with the requirements of the Estate Agents Act 1979 and any subsequent amendments of the Statutory Code of Practice.

What are we looking for?:

• For graduates, a degree in a RICS accredited property course.
• Experience in commercial property agency transactions is preferable.
• A Levels & GCSE’s
