Industrial Commercial Property Agent

Main purpose of the role:
- To act as a specialist Industrial/Logistics Commercial Agent within the Milton Keynes, Luton or St Albans offices of Kirkby Diamond.
- To promote the business of Kirkby Diamond Chartered Surveyors to a wide spectrum of the public, whilst undertaking your agency work.
- To actively market and publicise properties that Kirkby Diamond are instructed to market.
- To promote cross selling opportunities with other departments in Kirkby Diamond.
Specific activities:
- To represent KD as an Industrial/Logistics Commercial Property Agent and always promote its best interests.
- To take instructions and guidance from the Head of Agency as appropriate.
- To assist with the development and maintenance of a strong client base, specifically in Industrial Logistics Commercial Agency matters, but also generally.
- To comply with the RICS Membership Regulations (if qualified) in so far as they may apply to you in your capacity as Commercial Property Agent, working within a practice of chartered surveyors.
- To carry out inspections of properties for marketing purposes.
- To provide marketing reports to clients in the required format and within the agreed timescales.
- To carry out viewings in a professional manner.
- To update landlords/vendors and all clients in writing or by email, in a timely fashion.
- To negotiate the best deal for the client.
- To liaise with all parties when terms are agreed to ensure the transaction progresses satisfactorily.
- To understand and work with web-based IT systems, either in the office or from home and to keep up to date with necessary technological innovations as required.
- To adopt a “can do” attitude at all times.
- To be flexible, adaptable and customer focused.
- To meet the requirements of our Quality Assurance system.
- To ensure that our database of comparable evidence & property requirements is kept up to date with appropriate diarising.
- To undertake other professional work from time to time for which you have suitable experience, if required.
- At all times to comply with the requirements of the Estate Agents Act 1979 and any subsequent amendments of the Statutory Code of Practice.
What are we looking for?
- Ideally RICS qualified but not essential.
- Experience in commercial property agency transactions.
- Ideally property related University degree.
- A Levels & GCSE’s
