Double diamond works wonders for property experts
May 24, 2018
Kirkby Diamond has clinched two major industry awards as it reinforces its position as the leading commercial property consultancy in Bedfordshire.
The company has been crowned as Estates Gazette’s Most Active Agent in Bedfordshire for the sixth consecutive year, while associate and head of Bedford office Andrew Clarke has been named dealmaker of the year for the region.
Andrew said: “It’s an excellent achievement and a wonderful accolade for me and the company. To stay ahead of the competition for six consecutive years clearly demonstrates that our reputation across Bedfordshire and beyond is second to none.
“Despite fluctuations in business confidence triggered by Brexit, Bedfordshire continues to prove resilient, both from its proximity to London and its strong road links, further enforced by proposed new industrial and warehouse units including facilities for Aldi and B&M.
“The upshot of this has seen and increase in industrial rents, and significant rises in prices being paid by owner occupiers and investors in the past 12 to 18 months.”
Eamon Kennedy, head of commercial agency (group), said: “We continue to punch above our weight and we are proud to match much bigger, nationwide consultancies and organisations when it comes to transaction volumes.
“We have been building on our successes year upon year and have developed a reputation for providing exacting advice and support to clients. With more businesses moving out of London to the M1 corridor, we offer a depth of experience across the commercial property sector, coupled with unrivalled local knowledge.”
The EG Most Active Agents competition celebrates the industry’s leading dealmakers and is based on the number of completed transactions between January 1 and December 31 2017.
