Global business to create new regional hub

February 11, 2020

A global business, operating across a range of sectors including energy, events, communications and construction, is creating a new regional hub by relocating one of its UK divisions in Bedfordshire.

Actavo has agreed to transfer its construction equipment supplies business from Luton to a 12,385 sq ft industrial unit at Faldo Road, Barton Le Clay, after agreeing a 10-year lease on the property.

Kirkby Diamond was instructed to market the property on behalf of a private property company. The high quality accommodation, known as Chiltern House, is located on Barton Industrial Estate, and sits on an approximately one-acre site.

Eamon Kennedy, head of commercial agency (group) at Kirkby Diamond, said: “We have unrivalled experience and knowledge of the regional business environment and its property needs, and this really paid dividends in this case.

“We were aware of Actavo’s desire to relocate and create a new regional hub and knew that Chiltern House was the right quality, size, and in the ideal location, to suit their needs perfectly. Terms were agreed before the property was placed on the open market.

“The company has agreed a 10-year lease on the property, which offers them a large warehouse space, plenty of parking, in a secure site, which is just a short drive to both junctions 11a and 12 of the M1 motorway.”
