Kirkby Diamond helps dance studio waltz into Milton Keynes

A marketing drive, which has attracted a dance school and a recording studio to the Old Bus Station in Milton Keynes, has been hailed a huge success.

Nick Bosworth, surveyor at Kirkby Diamond’s Milton Keynes office, was appointed by Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) to attract new occupiers with a focus on community activities to the facility in Elder Gate.

Romeo Dance Academy, which has created the town’s first competition-standard ballroom, has moved into new facilities in the town. It will provide a wide range of performing arts classes, including dance, wheelchair dancing, having signed a 10-year lease for 3,460 sq ft of space on the first floor.

Kirkby Diamond also helped MKDP to agree terms with independent record label New Money Recordings, which will open recording facilities and offer qualifications in music technology and production. It has signed a 10-year lease for 3,225 sq ft and is expected to open later this month (May 2018).

Nick said: “The successful letting of these spaces at the Old Bus Station followed months of hard work to find the right kind of organisations that MKDP sought to provide a tangible community benefit.

“Using our local knowledge and extensive contacts, we were able to attract a number of possible tenants and are delighted to have secured Romeo Dance Academy and New Money Recordings for our clients. We are looking forward to celebrating their future success.”
