Kirkby Diamond unveils office space at Grade I listed mansion

September 14, 2021

New offices, some with views of magnificent gardens designed by Capability Brown have been unveiled at a converted Bedfordshire mansion.

Since acquiring Wrest Park, in Silsoe, in 2006 English Heritage has been developing tenanted office space. The 19thcentury French Revivalist mansion and adjoining stable block is currently home to over 40 businesses.

During lockdown the opportunity was taken to redevelop the Old Social Club, making a further 3,000 sq ft of modern office space available in the Grade I listed mansion.

Nick Bosworth, surveyor at Kirkby Diamond, said: “Wrest Park is set in the picturesque Bedfordshire village of Silsoe and was home to the de Grey family for many, many years. Now, it can be the magnificent home of your business, with an extensive range of individual offices and suites available to let on competitive terms.”

Some of the offices enjoy views over the main gardens to the rear, with all enjoying communal facilities including toilets and kitchen. Entrance is via the grand hall, with a manned reception.

The mansion is also available to businesses as a striking venue for meetings, conferences and corporate events.

Nick added: “It is very much a place to do business, with a range of individual offices and suites available to let, all benefiting from the services of a welcoming staffed reception area. There are offices available in both the mansion and an adjoining stable block.

Wrest Park, which contains buildings designed by Thomas Archer and Batty Langley, can also be hired on an exclusive basis for both daytime and evening corporate events.  Five interconnecting rooms inside the mansion and a light and spacious orangery can host meetings, receptions or dinners from 10 to 170 people. Outdoor and marquee events can be staged in the expansive grounds.

It has ample parking and is conveniently located close to the M1 motorway. For more information on visiting, visit For hiring event space call 01525 860000 or email
