New business park booms as 18 firms arrive

A new multi-million pound business park in Bedfordshire is booming and is approaching full capacity after welcoming 18 firms.

Glenmore Business Park – the first development of its kind in Bedford for more than 20 years – has three units remaining for sale from £230,000 to £299,500, or to let at rents ranging from £11,750 to £15,750 per annum.

Occupying businesses are varied and include building contractor Crest Build, loft extension specialist DJ Moore Lofts, and sports equipment manufacturer and distributor WS Sports UK. They have all agreed five-year leases on units ranging in size from 1,164 sq ft to 1,511 sq ft.

Karl Saralli, surveyor at Kirkby Diamond, said local businesses have been very keen to relocate to the mix of light industrial and warehouse units.

“We’re urging small businesses that may want or need to relocate to contact us regarding the final three units as we’re confident they won’t be available for very long.

“Already, 18 small businesses have recognised the significant benefits that Glenmore Business Park offers. It is a very welcome addition to the Bedford market and we have been inundated with enquiries from firms looking for high quality accommodation in an excellent location.”

He added: “With rents starting at £11,750, and freeholds available, the development is proving to be extremely popular among the region’s small business community.”

Units range in size from 1,104 sq ft to 1,550 sq ft and some of which have been combined to create larger units. Each unit has a first floor capable of being used as offices, sectional roller shutter loading doors, six-metre eaves height, and allocated parking spaces.
