Rapid-fire hat-trick as industrial property demand rises

December 09, 2021

Continuing high demand from businesses searching for industrial properties has helped Kirkby Diamond complete a rapid hat-trick of lettings in Bedfordshire for a major landlord.

Acting on behalf of Forte Developments, Kirkby Diamond has secured long-term leases on industrial/warehouse units at three popular Luton business locations – Sundon Industrial Estate, Bay Close, and Scott Road Industrial Estate.

CMT Powder Coaters, Jobyco, and Hermes Parcelnet have agreed leases on units ranging in size from 6,087 sq ft to 11,780 sq ft, bringing new jobs to the region.

Eamon Kennedy, executive partner and head of agency at Kirkby Diamond, said: “We have worked alongside Forte Developments for many years and it is very satisfying to see three of their properties let to good businesses in a short space of time. This has brought a good number of jobs to the north Luton area.

“Continued demand for industrial premises enabled us to secure new tenants extremely quickly which demonstrates that industrial properties are not staying available for long. The supply level continues to decrease against growing demand which means there will be increased competition for properties when they become available.”
