Site Acquisition by Kirkby Diamond

December 08, 2015

A new Aldi store at Sundon Park, in Luton, is taking shape, just a few months after work began.

Construction of the new store is making good progress and will be handing over to Aldi to complete their fit out December 2015.

Kirkby Diamond acquired the site on behalf of a local investor and negotiated the deal with Aldi Supermarkets, from the initial planning process to the beginning of the build.

Eamon Kennedy, partner and head of agency for Kirkby Diamond, said: “It is great to see the progress at the site and it won’t be long now until the construction is completed and fit out begins. The residents of north Luton will really benefit from this store opening.”

Kirkby Diamond was appointed by Bedfordshire-based Forte Developments to market the site and worked to bring the retail giant to the area. The property agents also secured the design and build agreement with Aldi.

The Sundon Park site will house a 16,500 sq ft store and will also provide parking for Sundon Park Centre visitors.

Eamon Kennedy has been actively involved in a number of development projects across Bedfordshire. If you need any assistance with a development or commercial property matter, please telephone him on 01582 738866 or email: eamon.kennedy@kirkbydiamond.co.uk
