Sun rises on shop units at Solstice development

April 11, 2019

The commercial units will be below the multi-million pound Solstice Apartments build-to-rent development, owned and operated by Grainger plc, the UK’s largest listed landlord. The site is located at Silbury Boulevard, on the former Standard Chartered Bank and former DSS offices, opposite the John Lewis store.

Nick Bosworth, commercial agency surveyor at Kirkby Diamond in Milton Keynes, said the retail units are suitable for uses including a retail convenience store, estate agency, coffee shop, offices, dentists or other medical users.

Unit one is 1,959 sq ft, while unit two is 2,539 sq ft, or they could be combined to create a single space of 4,498 sq ft. They are available to lease on terms to be agreed.

Nick said: “These two new commercial units will form an important part of the new Solstice Apartments rental development in the heart of Milton Keynes. It really is an excellent location for a range of businesses and the units are suitable for retail or office use.

“It’s quite rare for new commercial units to become available in such a desirable location so we are quite confident that there will be a lot of interest from occupiers who recognise the area’s potential. We are delighted to have been instructed by Grainger plc to bring them to market. ”

Solstice Apartments, which comprises one and two bedroom homes for rent, complete with a range of resident amenities, will be managed by Grainger, providing residents with onsite management and services.

Other nearby occupiers include Natwest, DHL and KPMG. Milton Keynes train station is just a short walk away, while the M1 junction 14 can be reached by road in eight minutes. For more information contact Nick Bosworth on 01908 558746 or email nick.bosworth@kirkbydiamond.co.uk.
