The Crossing on track to attract major occupier
Brickhill Properties, the developer, obtained planning consent for a 51,795 sq ft distribution unit –known as The Crossing –which includes 1,033 sq ft of office space at first floor, secure and gated yard and substantial car parking. It is located just six miles from junction 11a of the M1.
Diccon Brearley, commercial agency surveyor at Kirkby Diamond in Luton, said the new unit was already attracting substantial interest in a market experiencing a shortage of high specification accommodation.
“It’s great to be able to bring The Crossing to market. It’s a project that I’ve been involved with for a number of years now, from discussing the idea of development originally, through to gaining consent and finally seeing it through construction to practical completion.”

The Crossing gets its name from its location adjacent to a former crossing for a disused railway line, from Leighton Buzzard to Dunstable and into Luton. The old railway line is now a bridleway and part of Sustrans Cycle Route 6 (The Sewell Greenway). There are plans for it to become an extension of the Translink Busway into Leighton Buzzard from Dunstable and Luton.
The unit fronts on to the A505 Leighton Buzzard Bypass, providing easy access to Aylesbury via the A418, Milton Keynes via the A5, and the M1 Corridor via J11a.
